It can be very difficult for the lay person to make any kind of sense from the bewildering array of psycho something or others that are available. Popular methods include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person Centred Counselling, Psycodynamic, Psychoanalysis, Hypnotherapy, NLP etc.

Each method has its own particular way of uncovering and treating the issues presented by a client. The treatment may or may not be successful depending on how appropriate the method is and perhaps whether it is the only method that the therapist knows and can apply.

The approach that I have been trained to use is called Integrative. This is a fancy way of saying that I draw upon a wide range of methods that include the above. Having a wide range means that I can select the most appropriate method that will most effectively help you.Ok, so how.......?

These are generally:

  •  Psychotic disorders.
  •  Clients that are being treated by a psychiatrist or other mental health professional.
  • Those suffering serious addictions.
