I originally trained and qualified as an electronics engineer and spent many years in heavy engineering.After 15 years or so I decided that I needed a career change. So I started a career in direct sales in the construction and building services sectors.

I was in sales for a long time, too long to be honest. I did not really enjoy the job and as a consequence, I was not very good at it. Having realised that I was wasting my life, I decided to do something that I had a genuine interest in. I have always had an interest in: psychology, metaphysics and alternative medicine and so successfully studied for my Diplomas in Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy.

As a result, I am a member of the Counselling Society and the Hypnotherapy Society. These set the benchmark for ethics for practising therapists and we have to abide by these rules. This ensures that:

Our discussions are treated in the strictest confidence.
I shall at all times be non judgemental. No matter what it is you have to say, I shall never make you feel awkward, embarrassed or ashamed.
I shall treat you fairly. If I cannot be effective in helping you, I shall refer you to someone with more experience in the specialised area that you need.This is with your permission of course.
I shall formulate a treatment plan and discuss this with you at the second or third session and this discussion shall include time scales and costs.
