I originally trained and qualifeid as an electronics engineer and spent many years in heavy engineering.After 15 years or so I decided that I needed a career change. So I started  a career in direct sales in the construction and building services sectors.

I was in sales for a long time, too long to be honest. I did not really enjoy the job and as a consequence, I was not very good at it. Having realised that I was wasting my life, I decided to do something that I had a genuine interest in. I have always had an interest in psychology, metaphysics and alternative medicine and so successfully studied for my Diplomas in Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy.

As a result, I am a member of the Counselling Society and the Hypnotherapy Society. These set the benchmark for ethics for practising therapists and we have to abide by these rules. This ensures that:
  • Our discussions are treated in the strictest confidence.
  • I shall at all times be non judgemental. No matter what it is you have to say, I shall never make you feel awkward, embarrassed or ashamed.
  • I shall treat you fairly. If I cannot be effective in helping you, I shall gently tell you so and perhaps refer you to someone with more experience in the specialised area that you need.This is with your permission of course.
  • I shall formulate a treatment plan and discuss this with you at the second or third session and this discussion shall include time scales and costs.

     Hopefully, you will realise that I am not an academic that has not been in        the real world. Being married for 35 years and a grandfather of two boys also        helps with my life experiences.

Anyway, that's enough about me because therapy, counselling, helping whatever you want to call it is always about you.

Hours of work

Monday - Friday:  17:30 to 20:30hrs

Saturday/Sunday: 10:00 to 16:00hrs
